Instructions:
Cut the yarn, leaving a tail 3–4 times longer than the width of your knitting. Thread the tail onto a tapestry needle. With the right side (RS) facing:

  1. Insert the needle through the first three stitches on the left needle as if to purl, from right to left.
  2. Pull the yarn through all three stitches, but do not drop them off the needle.
  3. Slip only the first stitch from the left needle onto the right needle without knitting.
  4. Repeat steps 1–3 two more times.
  5. Insert the needle through the first three stitches on the left needle as if to purl, from right to left.
  6. Slip only the first stitch from the left needle.
  7. Repeat steps 5–6 until the entire round is cast off.
