What it is

I-cord Bind-off builds a narrow knitted cord while closing the live edge.

How Ruke patterns use it

This finish can frame a Ruke neckline, band or outer edge with a deliberate rounded line. Because it adds structure and visual weight, it should support the design rather than become an unrelated decoration.

When to use it

Use it when a pattern names an I-cord finish or when a stable rounded border is part of the design.

What to check

Check the number of I-cord stitches, edge pickup ratio and tension around corners.

Common mistakes

Working the cord too tightly, allowing it to ripple, or changing the attachment rhythm.
