What it is

Knitting flat works back and forth in rows, turning the work at the end of each row.

How Ruke patterns use it

Ruke cardigans, scarves, bands and some garment pieces use RS and WS rows. Flat construction makes edge stitches, turning and the difference between knit-side and purl-side instructions essential.

When to use it
